The Virtues of Amaranth

Amaranth

has been rediscovered
in many countries
and it is more often
called the crop
of the XXI century.
It turned out
that the amaranth seeds
overrate the best crop,
the wheat, in terms of
the content of the most
essential nutritious
components.
Amaranth is characterized by the high content of protein which is of a higher biological value than milk protein.
It is rich in unsaturated fatty acids which play an important role in prevention of the development of arteriosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases.
It regulates the biosynthesis of cholesterol which creates a new perspective of prophylaxis and treatment of the diseases of the circulatory system.
The high content of easily absorbing iron calcium and magnesium makes amaranth a valuable component of a diet of expecting mothers and people with diseases of the nervous system and bones (skeletal system).
It does not contain gluten so it can be given to children with the celiac disease.
Amaranth contains squalene which slows down the processes of ageing of the organism It also contains nonferment dietary fiber which decreases the risk of developing cancer.
It contains twice as much of cellulose as barley bran.
Amaranth is a source of group B vitamins as well as vitamins A E and C.
Medical observations prove the positive influence of Amaranth products on people’s health thank to their antiarteriosclerotic and anticancer characteristics Amaranth products are also beneficial for the work of the intestines they are indispensible for a nongluten diet.
